Homemade Sausage Pizza

  • 3 links Villa Roma Hot Italian Sausage, sliced
  • 1 green pepper, sliced horizontally
  • 4 shitake or button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 dozen pitted black olives, sliced
  • 1 large precooked pizza shell
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 12 oz. portion of pre-prepared pizza sauce
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh thyme and oregano
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Preheat the oven to 450°. Spread the pre-prepared pizza sauce evenly overthe pre-cooked pizza shell. Arrange the green pepper, mushrooms, olives and sausage slices on the sauced shell. Mix the ricotta cheese and fresh herbs in a bowl, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Spread the mix evenly over the sausage, mushroom, olive and green pepper ingredients. Bake for 10 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly. Serves 4.
